I often heard the advice to be realistic, adopt a cruise control approach, and if it’s not broken, don’t fix it. An award-winning researcher and author of “Mindset” Carol Dweck, talked about the concept of mindset and how our belief system determines our outcome. In a fixed mindset, people believe their qualities are fixed traits and therefore cannot change. For example, they believe that talent leads to success, and effort is not required. On the other hand, a growth mindset thrives on challenge and sees failure not as a lack of talent but as a springboard for growth. When people believe they can become more successful, they realize that their effort can lead to higher achievement. For these reasons, there’s nothing like a perfect life; perfection only rests in transformation and constant change, so don’t stay at one point; keep moving, keep growing and keep pushing your limits to excel in this fast-paced market. Take a deep breath and acknowledge how having an opportunity to dream or to make decisions is a blessing in itself.
