Lead with love. Manage with reason.

We all have been trained to think with our minds and decide based on the facts. Our education system, family, friends, and the society support this very idea. For example, I was taught to think through things before making decisions and play safe. I was taught that love is essential; however, reason has priority.

The love for doing something that we are passionate about is continually challenged by the risks of taking the road less traveled. Yet, when we look at the transformative events in history, they are all driven by love and passion. They all came from the heart.

Bill Gates left Harvard to create Microsoft; Nelson Mandela challenged the apartheid regime and spent 27 years in jail before finally liberating South Africa; as an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb, and the list goes on. It made no sense at the time of the decision until the vision is achieved.

The heart and the mind both have a place in the journey to excellence. However, the journey of thousand miles always starts with love. So think with heart and lead with love when taking direction. Once you are on the right road, then use mind and reason to stay on track and accelerate.

Sharing a couple of profound principles that i learned over the years.

✳️ Lead with Love.
✳️ Manage with Reason.

khirad ke paas khabar ke siwa kuch aaur nahin
tera ilaaj nazar ke siwa kuch aaur nahin
Mind (Wisdom) can only provide known facts (based on experiences),
Your solution to success is in the capability of seeing ahead (with the eyes of love and passion)

Guzar Jaa Aql Se Aage Ke Ye Noor
Charagh-e-Raah Hai, Manzil Nahiñ Hai
Go beyond the path of reason or mind; as it is a light
That brightens the way; it is not the destination.
