When I looked at my 20 years of work experience in 2017, I realized that it was a few years of experience repeated multiple times. I recognized that my learning outlook was not aligned with my long-term objectives of empowering myself, my family, and others to make a significant difference in the quality of life.
So, I adjusted… A big adjustment…
I left my job and started my own “Operations Turnaround Consulting”. I embarked upon a “Breakthrough” learning experience to exponentially grow myself to a new level that was not possible with my previous learning trajectory. A tough decision with lots of learning.
👆🏼 The above example, “Breakthrough Experience,” is one of the three dimensions of learning that I follow, promote, and teach.
❇️ Learning is one of the most critical tools in our circle of influence, and we must be intentional, adaptable, and attentive to our learning needs.
Here are the three dimensions of learning (i am providing short explanation and i will write in detail at another time):
❇️ Learning by Training: It is the traditional way of learning through formal and informal content – school, university, workshops, reading, listening, podcasts, videos. It is a crucial element of our growth plan with a modest impact on the long-term goal.
❇️ Learning by Experience: Learning by doing (experiential learning) is the most powerful learning tool in the three dimensions of learning. When combined with training, it provides spectacular results. Within this dimension, learn through “Daily Experiences,” “Rotational Experiences,” and “Breakthrough Experiences.” I will dedicate a post on this later.
❇️ Learning by Interaction: Learning by collaboration (interactive learning) takes our knowledge to a more profound level. It challenges the brain to a deeper level and brings clarity. Within this dimension, learn by “Mentors,” “Working with Peers,” and “Teaching Others.” I will dedicate a post on this later.
Never stop learning because life never stops teaching. Be Intentional.
