Here I celebrate two of my great friends Lee Tibbitts and Aziz Ur Rahman Sharief, who are the masters of people and relationships. They thrive on this strength and get the job done. Not only at home, but relationships matter at work as well. We often disregard the power of relationships and become mechanical at work. Connecting with the heart is the door to success, especially in transformation. Relationships first always. I’m not just talking about working relationships; I’m talking about developing personal and deep relationships with people, where you connect with the people as a human and at the very basic level without any benefits or expectations. This is where you are genuine, open, and respectful of people’s boundaries and feelings. Here are 10 things I learned from Lee and Aziz: They respect people and their boundaries They are open and vulnerable with others They trust and build trust with people They seek to understand, not judge They are honest with people They prioritize kindness They show lots of affection They appreciate constantly They are empathetic to people They acknowledge and validate others Touch a heart before ask for a hand. Prioritize relationships. They matter.
